The ability of our neoecology biorefinery to create value helps us to build our expanding business ecosystem.
We intend to build a total of six production facilities that all need a continuous supply of algae and seaweed feedstock to fuel their production. The construction of these sites, their operation, and their feedstock requirements will create plenty of business and work opportunities for people and companies in remote areas as well as struggling market sectors. With our initial facility, our demand for feedstock will be around 80,000 metric tons per annum. By 2035, we will need around 1.3 million metric tons.
Origin by Ocean is working towards the creation of sustainable and long-lasting business relationships with companies throughout the whole production and logistics chain for the two separate feedstocks of blue-green algae and macroalgae. We will work with partners committed to the same goals on which we have founded Origin by Ocean, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) numbers 1, 3, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 17.

From Sea to Land
We will directly employ people throughout the business chain and partner network, all the way from the algae farmers and harvesters to the feedstock producers utilising the biomass residue of our neoecology biorefinery.
Through our business ecosystem, we also want to provide sidestream work and revenue opportunities for people and businesses, such as fishermen, boat operators, offshore wind park operators, maintenance crews, and so on.
